In our English course at the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium in Muenster/Germany we worked on this novel by concentrating on certain aspects. Based on the essays we wrote, we constructed this homepage with the intention to create both our own little archive and to inform other pupils and to provide further information on how to deal with this book.

The site is divided into several sections to offer quick access to the requested information:

  • to get a brief overview of the content, read the summaries available for each chapter
  • to learn more about the characters, their relationships etc., have a look at the topics we dealt with in class
  • to see what our class test was about, we offer some examples here
  • to get an impression of what  the novel is like you get some samples here
  • biographical notes concerning the authoress you can find here
  • we would be glad to receive your opinion about this site, so please contact us via e-mail
We hope you will enjoy your visit
